Our Q&A with Lew Ayotte

Lew will be joining us as a speaker for WordCamp DFW with his talk entitled “SAAS And WordPress” on our Developer track.

Why do you use WordPress?

I use WordPress because it is a robust, well documented, easy to use, and encourages contribution from the community. Though it has been ages since I’ve looked at other content manage system platforms, these things set WordPress apart from the others I had worked with when I first started developing WordPress sites.

When and how did you get started using WordPress?

I started using WordPress almost a decade ago when I needed to build a website. I asked my friend what he recommended. He told me about his experience with WordPress, so I jumped in and haven’t looked back.

How do you stay informed about WordPress news, tips, etc.?

Mostly from Twitter and Facebook and other friends who use WordPress.

What do you like most about WordCamps? (and which have you attended?)

Learning new things from interesting people.

Lew will be speaking at WordCamp DFW 2016. His talk is entitled “SAAS And WordPress” Until then, find Lew online at lewayotte.com or tweet him @lewayotte!
