This allowed us to really focus on our core product.

When and how did you get started using WordPress?

I started using WordPress in 2011 to develop the MyCurator plugin. I had built an early version in Python, mostly a cloud service. I decided I needed to integrate it into a client’s website to deliver it to a larger market. In reviewing platforms, WordPress was the clear leader of website development platforms.

How do you stay informed about WordPress news, tips, etc.?

I use our product, the MyCurator Plugin, to continually search for new articles on WordPress development as well as other key WordPress Topics. By using the training feature of the system, I weed out 90% of the off topic and junk articles out there on the web.

What do you like most about WordCamps? (and which have you attended?)

WordCamps are a great mix of business users, bloggers and developers. The energy and ideas from so many diverse backgrounds and focuses make it unique and a lot of fun. I’ve been to WordCamps in Philadelphia and Reno.

Mark will be speaking at WordCamp DFW 2016.
