Whatever new project I’m working on, WordPress is always the first step. Through the amazing WordPress community, I always know that whatever limitation I might meet during web development has been solved by someone else and shared online. Knowing the flexibility and power of WordPress contributes to my feeling that no challenge is too great for human ingenuity, creativity, and community.

When and how did you get started using WordPress?

I started using WordPress when I built my first website in 2013. I was looking for the most flexible and scalable solution: accessibility, but with a professional look and feel. After researching feverishly for the best website solution, I decided on WordPress. I couldn’t believe that the best solution out there was also totally free and open source!

A few years later and I still rely on WordPress for all of my personal and professional projects. It has been the catalyst for a lot of personal growth and education with things like HTML, CSS, and even problem solving. I don’t know what I’d do without it.

How do you stay informed about WordPress news, tips, etc.?

My WordPress needs are always the source of learning more about WordPress. Whatever I’m creating always leads me to solutions, tips, and new ideas.

What do you like most about WordCamps? (and which have you attended?)

The best thing about WordCamps are the stories: the stories of the people you meet and the stories of the speakers. Leaving with connections and friends you didn’t have before is always the best part!

Anna will be speaking at WordCamp DFW 2016.
