The WordPress ecosystem is very large, however, while the plugin ecosystem number in the thousands, there is still a relatively small set of software that provide services not best served as a plugin. We will discuss what kinds of software makes sense to be a SaaS application, and when it is advantageous to do so over standard plugins. We will also cover a small example of how to integrate site owners with your application, and common models for getting paid.
